got some news…
all acceptances/rejections will be out by the 15th
so all of you still waiting 10 more days!

I got in for session 3, the letter was postmarked about 2 weeks after I applied

I applied late, also. Applied march 16, letter dated march 30

Has anyone received a “reject” letter? S applied 2/13 and hasn’t heard anything except a confirmation email that his application was received. I don’t know if we should assume he’s not in; or if they admit all the top applicants on the spot and wait to decide about the rest after all applications are in to evaluate geographic diversity, etc.?

Follow-up: I did a google search and I think all the acceptances are out. At least lots of the local press releases were remarkably similar and most ran yesterday. Oh well. I was surprised S applied; didn’t seem like the type - I guess the USNA agreed!

Well, I’m sorry your son’s application was not successful. But let me, totally absent of being patronizing, say that this may have nothing, NOTHING to do w/ being the right “type.” To the contrary, facts and multiple, reoccurring anecdotes reveal that a great many of stellar, even superior candidates who receive “no” answers, are indeed the “type.” You should be extremely proud that you’ve reared a young man who’s done so well, and who has a heart beating for others and his country. Keep him on the good and narrow. He’s right.

Has anyone received any word from the USNA?? I am still waiting to hear. Do u think that I will be notified this week?? Since it is so late I have begun to think that I have been denied but am still bot sure. Has anyone been accepted this late? Also is there a waitlist for NASS? Thanks

Still haven’t heard anything. S qualified this past weekend for the national forensics tournament and that will conflict with USNA summer sessions 2 & 3. Feel a little silly updating them about his availability since he hasn’t been accepted. The email we received when his application was submitted said we would be notified by mail by mid-April.

My DS is travelling to USNA with his father tomorrow for the information session and tour. Has anyone heard current information on the NASS decisions? It sure would be nice to know if the remaining decisions are out - still waiting in Maine.

Finally got the letter we were expecting today. It was actually a relief to not get in, since he’s now committed to other obligations!
