I just got one in the mail, I got a code and I need to RSVP it. Did anyone else get it and is it anything special than normal? :D

Thank you!

Thank you!

Is it the Brown/MIT/Yale thing or something else?

Nope, just MIT. It’s like a postcard looking thing with a blue cover.

I don’t think it’s anything special, I got the invitation about a week ago. It’s probably because you showed interest in MIT so they gave you the invitation for the information session so you could learn more about the school. To be honest, I am not even on MIT’s mailing list, so I am not sure why I got it!

Oh. It’s pretty far from here, like about 100 miles. Debating on if I should go or not…

Well, if you are interested in MIT then you should go and learn about the school. If you live close enough to actually visit the campus itself, you’d get the best experience.

Damn… I don’t know. The October SAT is two days after that. >.<
And they made the session on a school night, too! :(

If you get mail from a college it generally means … absolutely nothing.

Heck you could look up the info session online and attend uninvited.

Good point. I just got excited cause you know, it’s the M I T. THE BIG ONE. :D

I did too, but I live right near MIT. My parents still want to go, even though I’ve been there before…Maybe I could just have them go =]

I don’t blame you nothing4me, I also got excited when I got the invitation, but then I just calmed myself down and realized MIT probably sent this to a lot of prospective applicants. I also got that whole “Applying to MIT” packet in the mail like last week also. It was actually helpful because they show some good techniques in writing the essays.

I got the “Applying to MIT” Packet. I just realized that I think my parents may have recycled it. Ugh, if they did. But I didn’t get this. I’ve been to a local MIT session, and I’ve done a tour and info session there. Maybe they thought I wouldn’t go?

yea idk if i want to go though kinda far

well i have a scheduled interview this thursday…

don’t feel too special
