Just wondering.

I logged into the Rutgers thing today and they said they received all the stuff I sent in last week :D

Yep I logged in today too to see they received all my stuff (SAT scores, transcripts, fees). It made my day just to know they have it.

now we wait for the decision.

Yup, it made me feel a bit more secure knowing they got everything. Does your status thing list your SATII scores as well? Mine only shows that is has my SAT scores but I thought the scores were all sent together =

Anyways good luck to you :)

I didn't take SATIIs so I can't say for sure. I'm sure they got everything for you. and thanks.

good luck to you to

Rutgers doesn't look at SAT II's AT ALL. They don't have the time to and/or they just think that SAT's and class rank and GPA and difficulty of courseload are sufficient factors. The only big public universities I know that seriously look at SAT II's are UCLA and Berkeley.

And I too am elated about knowing my status! It is less stress to know than it is to not know.

clove7965, that's not true at all. even if they arent looking for sat 2's, they'll still be looking at whatever scores you send them... good scores won't hurt.

I also applied to Rutgers - as a safety - and received an acceptance letter already.

Damn you guys are lucky. I guess you got in already b/c it's safety. It's not one for me. Maybe they'll accept me tomorrow since it's my birthday. That would be nice.

Really? Your birthday is tomorrow? So's mine :D I was hoping they'd tell me on my birthday too xD That would be pretty sweet. Argh why is it taking so long?! I'm getting worried =

hmm well i sent an email asking about the merit scholarships and what factors would be considered because i'm homeschooled, and they answered saying that the admissions committee would look at my file holistically, blah blah blah but they also said that while SAT IIs aren't required, they would "consider them for scholarship purposes if they are available." holla!

rutgers 27 - what is your gpa/sat? the amount of time it takes for them to respond seems to directly correlate with the level of academic acheivement/test scoring of the applicant. if you had something like a 2.9 and a 1700/2400 sat you can expect them to deliberate for a while. on the contrary, anything 3.5 and 1900/2400 and above seems to yield a decision within a month or so.
