Just curious... Nothing here.

I got back some merit based stuff, nothing need based yet.

Need based came today… only direct loans of $5,000 and FWS. All the rest is merit or me. Anyone hear from Honors college at RIT yet?

ugh - this is my fear.

haven’t heard anything yet – @Joseph did your need-based info come via email or snail mail?

Our guess is that RIT is going to be out of the running based on a much lower merit award there than at a couple of other places, but we’re waiting to see if there are any nice surprises in the need-based package. Not holding our breath though.

mathmom… it came snail mail.

anyone get anything yet? I was hoping to get it before the open house on friday … which we’ll be driving up on thursday for …

Yes, it came in the mail about a week ago. Showed Merit, Loans, FWS…

Does anyone know if you get two scholarships do they cancel one? I got a computing medal before I applied to RIT which gave me a scholarship and then I got a scholarship for merit when I was accepted, will they count both of them?

On the dual merit scholarships, I think I read previously on one of the RIT threads that you receive the higher of the two offers but not both. If you got a letter with your merit aid listed and were receiving both, I would think that they would both be mentioned. The safest thing would be to call or email the Financial Aid office and ask.

We are still waiting on financial info. For people who attended last Friday’s open house, did RIT give any dates or estimates about a deadline on fowarding award packages to everyone? S received his admissions letter just before the notification deadline, so he may be among the last to received the FA notficiation. He heard about merit aid about a week ago.

We came home from the open house to find the FA envelope in the mail. She got her admission several weeks ago…

Nope have not heard

My son got his RIT financial aid information about two weeks ago via snail mail.
