Anyone get in with a 32 ACT or lower?

“New Posts” button all day long. :)

Someone is bored. I am still at work. So bored.

i got a 30 both times i took the ACT, 3.67 cumulative GPA, 3yrs of student government; no major stacking in any areas haha

and you were accepted?

I checked Family Connection/Naviance to see what ACT scores that WUSTL-accepted students from my school received. The lowest was a 26 (RD) or 30 (ED). The lowest SAT score accepted was a 1770. The average ACT score was about a 31, and that was about 10-15 students. So there’s definitely hope if you have under than a 32 on the ACT-WUSTL looks for well-rounded, smart, interested students.

What about athletes? Are they more lenient for athletes, regarding academics?

^ Being an athlete is a good EC, but there is no leniency regarding academics unless you are recruited.

yes, i was talking about recruits. someone like me: ranked second in the class of 500 but has test scores on the lower end (like possibly a 31 or 32)

“i was talking about recruits. someone like me: ranked second”

If you’re talking about recruits, that implies athletic recruit, while a class ranking refers to how you compare (rank) in your class based on your gpa. You’re talking about apples and oranges.

I’m going to guess that WashU doesn’t recruit athletes (I may be totally wrong!!), but they’re DIII.

limabeans- I was under the impression that coaches at WashU do have /some/ sway but it’s nothing like recruiting in DI.

limabeans: They do. However, they don’t have the same influences in admissions as that of D1 coaches.
What I meant was that I have the grades in terms of GPA, but in terms of standardized tests, I will be in the lower range, as of now. I’m a little worried that even though my GPA will cut it, my scores would not.
