Anyone get in yet for Spring 2006?

Any transfer students get accepted yet for Spring 2006 Semester? I know a lot of schools that allow spring transfers have just started accepting applications this last week...anyone successful yet? Myself I have not yet heard back from mine....(except to say "thanks for the application, we'll process it and get back to you withing 30 days)....

I thought the web-sites for most schools said they wont make decisions until december. Applications are due before November 1st. Is it better to send them in very early?

The sooner the better for rolling applications.

Spring Transfer seems a bit more tricky to me. At some of the colleges I'm interested in, you can't receive institutional aid if you come in the Spring. This is one of the reasons why I'm not applying for Spring Transfer.

I just received my acceptance letter from UF. I was sweating bullets seeing as it's the only school I applied to.

Most schools will start sending it out around now and you will get it mid October

scoobygurl which schools are you applying to that won't give institutional aid for spring transfers?

Barnard doesn't offer institutional aid for Spring transfers.

What exactly are rolling admissions....just like a first come first served sort of thing?

Barnard and Bryn Mawr. Barnard only does it for a semester but Bryn Mawr does it for your whole stay. That would be much too much debt for me.

i'm waiting to hear from the following schools:

UVA
UPENN
GWU
UMD - CP
WM

I'm waiting on NYU and Barnard... and getting increasingly nervous about it too.

No official response yet... nothing. Still waiting for Tulane, BU, and W&M.

Hey, I just got my first notice. I am into Rice. Still waiting on CMC, Cornell and UVa

Congratulations! How far up on your list is Rice?

wow..u got into Rice already. Congratulations. Ru a freshman right now?

Congratulations to calipharius for Rice!!!

I would be transfering as a sophomore. I was suprised how quickly they notified me. After all, Cornell's system says that it hasnt recieved some of my application yet. Oh, and Claremeont and Cornell are at the top, then rice, then UVa. But in the end it all comes down to finaid becasue my parents refuse to pay anything for college.

is Rice really competitive for transfers. I was admitted as a freshman. Rice and Duke are on par for freshman admissions, but for some reason I think that Rice is a lot easier to get into than Duke.

UPenn and Cornell aren't on rolling admission, are they?
