I got into UCLA with a 3.87 unweighted GPA and a 1890 SAT score. Got a supplementary application from UCB but ended up not getting in. You have a pretty good chance of getting in if you have the other components of a competitive application (solid ECs, volunteering, strong essay, etc.).

Proud Husky, what was your UC weighted GPA, and are you in state?

Thank you everyone for your replies! And just so you know, I'm also in-state.

Proud Husky, I'm also wondering what your UC weighted GPA was. Thanks.

wow. thanks. i was under the illusion that you HAD to take math II. damn hs conselours (sorry for the blatant spelling error).

^ haha no prob

bump

Anyone else know anyone who got into UCB or UCLA with less than a weighted 4.0?

yea..............

If you look at the charts linked to in post #7, about 1900 students were admitted to UCLA with weighted GPA's under 4.0, and about 1200 to Berkeley. I know a few who are in those groups, but they're all recruited athletes. They can't recruit that many athletes each year, though, so somebody with less than a 4.0 who's not an athlete must get admitted from time to time.
