Hey, can the people who got into UT Austin with lower end of the spectrum aka 3.3-3.35 GPAs post on this thread and maybe post their major and other stats.....I still haven't heard, but I was hoping to get some reassurance that there is a good chance that I will get in.

Statistically, your GPA is a little low. Cola average is around 3.6 for transfers and around 3.9 for some of the more competitive colleges like Mcombs. That does not mean you do not have a chance especially if your essays are outstanding. I was accepted on April 4 to COLA (English). I have a GPA 3.94 and I am an instate CC transfer with 52 hours. On past threads, some students have found out as late as June so hang in there. I hope that helps and Good luck!

You’ve made the same threads over and over again and gotten the same answers, Gabby. Your chances are not amazing - average at the very best.

its very tough with that GPA so you might need to stay another semester in your current school and boost it up. I had a 3.35 GPA about and eventually got in after appealing but my situation was a bit different.

How is your trend? My last 50 credits or so were about a 4.0 so that helped during the appeals process.

would around a 3.57 get you into COLA?

yeah. i think the minimum for la is 2.5 or something. ^

The lowest accepted GPA for COLA that I’ve seen from past threads is 3.45

I got in with a 3.5 something GPA into the Engineering School… 3.6 avg for COLA is unrealistically high, i’m sure it’s much lower

P.S i’ve known a dude who got in with a 3.3 into COLA
