Anyone get letters yet??

Haha, thank you for your concern, Thomas! I've been lurking as opposed to posting, just kinda lying in wait...lol, I'm definitely breathing, but I never knew I could be this anxious! I'm ridiculous

...I applied only to Brown this year because it was the only school I was certain I loved. :( May seem foolish, but I'm chasing a dream, and I wanted to give it a try instead of waiting until next year...I simply didn't have the time to research colleges my first semester and I want to be verrrrry careful about my choices this time around! I hope I get a break, though, because I'm seriously not looking forward to going through the college admissions process all over again this summer...ack my mother will be so irked. Hehe.

Oh, Nikki, that's no good, you should probably do something about that puking, lol...good luck, nonetheless!!

&#%$*)#@%^$ ANXIETY! You are the bane of so many lives.

Think how I feel. I'll be entering one of these schools as a junior... at 32 years old. I was accepted to Penn, Georgetown, Tulane, and a few others, but Yale and Brown are my top choices. If I don't get into either one, I'll be going to Penn. At my age (which isn't old), I am a nervous wreck. I couldn't believe how passionate I was about getting into one of these Ivies until I started the application process.

i can't believe yale is comming so soon!! i definetly don't feel emotionally prepared for this, i wasn't expecting it for another month--feel similar to flip flop and nikki!

congradulations thomas! which school in georgetown did you get in? i'm still waiting on SFS. i'm starting to wonder now though if i'll here from anywhere until much later--all three schools i applied to were missing at least one piece of my application!

I would rather go through any emotion other than anxiety. Anxiety turns me into an insomniac and my appetite decreases severly.

It was SFS...evening classes for a BA in International Affairs. Georgetown was the only school I applied that wasn't for an Economics degree. I know that sounds silly, but I have many interests I would like to pursue. I'm sure I will go with an Economics degree at Yale/Brown/Penn. I would LOVE to go into IA, but Economics is more practical and I can do more with it if I can't get to law school right away.

i'm kind of in the same boat.. international relations if i go to georgetown or uva and political science and art history if i go to yale

this evening classes thing, is that some type of special admissions process? or just like the regular transfer? anyone else hear from georgetown yet?

not me efs..i just cried when i read that thomas did..oh my god im such a girl at times..

I'm not sure...I wanted to take classes in the evenings because when I first applied, I wanted to work during the day (I am a real estate agent). I went through the same transfer process/forms everyone else did, so I'm not sure...sorry.

I had to have an interview with them and everything...

Now I will tell you that a lot of schools will notify "adult" transfers before the traditional-aged transfer applicants, even though we all went through the same application process. However, I'm unsure which schools operate under this.

FYI...schools that notify the "adult" transfers will get to the traditional transfers usually in the same week, so if I received Georgetown on Friday, LOOK OUT!!! THIS COULD BE YOUR WEEK!

I'm 22...what am i? haha

All of you are adults...However, the schools rank 25+ as an "adult" applicant. :)

three years shy of an acceptance letter last friday..that blows..i feel ill

lol...that was good!!! I am seven years removed from still being able to act like a kid, as far as the colleges are concerned...:(

are you going to live on campus thomas?

Yes, I have applied for on-campus housing. I decided not to work and just go full-time and get it done in two years so I can move on to law school or whatever. Due to my age, the school I decide to go to will put me into graduate housing.

Are you going to live on-campus, Nikki?

Thomas, Brown's deadline was definitely April 1st. Are you 100% sure that they have already made their decisions?

Seriously, all the Brown documents say March 1. The only thing that says April 1 is the transfer app webpage..finaid stuff never changed any due dates...I sincerely think it was so a few more people could get stuff in last minute and/or to give people with missing creds the time needed to get the stuff in.
