Anyone get off the waitlist?

The calling process is done in rounds. WashU makes a first round of offers - depending on how many people accept their offer, subsequent rounds may or may not follow. They continue the process till they fill the freshman class.

will they leave messages if you're not home?

i didn't get a call. i'm probably going to cry after everything i've done to get into this school.

hayan89, I think they would leave a message if you're not home.

Yes, they will leave a message. trackie10x - just because you did not get a call today does not mean you will not get one. Just remember there may be several rounds of calls, with some time between the rounds to give people enough time to make a decision as to if they accept or not. Good luck.

Did the people who got in do anything to increase their chances? (Letters of interest, additional recommendations, awards, etc.)

Also, did any of the people who have been called apply for financial aid?

Sorry...one more question: How long do they give people to decide once they've gotten the call?

If theyre calling by region, the person who was accepted today was from Michigan.

bittersweet news...good to know that they are taking people from the waitlist...frustrating to know that you have not received a call...

i'm so nervous. i've sent e-mails, recs, and everything....

how does it work with financial aid and such?

Any chance for Olin school of business?
Which school did the michigan get into?
and How about the internationals? call or email?

Hey. I got my email today. I am IN.

to TMPP : where are you from and which department/school you get in?

I am an international. I have to wait for the official letter I guess to know which department/school I got in.

Congrats TMPP. I hope I get accepted. I have my fingers crossed.

Oh and TMPP, did you do anything to show your interest? like write a letter or anything of the sort?

S got into Arts and Sciences. Had 24 hours to give response.
Good Luck everyone.

peanutfree: Did he decide to attend? And did he do anything to improve his chances? What about financial aid?

Wow, this is really making me nervous - hearing people receiving calls already. I applied to Olin, which makes my chances even more grim. Crossing my fingers.

to aktiv8d:

i dont think it matters too much whether you applied to olin, if it's any help. im pretty sure any accepted students can transfer back and forth among the arts and sciences, olin, and engineering (tho im not as sure about engineering), so it wont really make much sense to make one school's admissions more stringent than the next's, as students can move around once accepted.

good luck!
