My D has submitted it but I have a question about test scores. If the GC submitted an official transcript w/ test scores is that all they need or do they also need to be sent from college board?

My S submitted also, but he had used Willamette as one of the "freebies" you get when you sign-up for the SATs so they already have it directly from the College Board. I suspect they will use the transcript and somewhere down the line request you send the scores directly from the college board as a confirmation exercise.

Good luck!

thanks Salfisher!`Good luck to your S as well. I did go ahead and call the admissions office and they said that the official t-script w/ score report from the GC was sufficient in case anyone else has the same question.

My D submitted the Leaders App also, and the only thing they seemed to need was the school transcript/report. We were paranoid and had the official scores sent from ACT/SAT too, though.

Good luck to your D and S!

Has anyone who submitted the leadership app heard about their acceptance, and if so does it include a dollar amount?

Yes, D was accepted w/ a specified amount of merit aid included in the same envelope.

Same here--accepted with the merit aid offer in the same envelope.

Wait so is the Willamette Leader’s app early action or early decision — if I send one in and they accept me, will I have to go there?

No, it’s just a priority app they send to selected students. It has a quick decision time and no fee. My S actually received it last year as a junior – I guess their records were incorrect on his year. He is applying this year with the common app.

Good Luck and best wishes to all applying to WU this year. DD chose another school but WU has a special place with her.

Thanks you guys for answering that helps a lot!

How do these applications work in general?
Do we still need to add the colleges for CSS/Fafsa?
What about the Common App forms?

Yay! so I got accepted to Willamette! Anyone else get a response yet?

I applied with the Leaders App, but haven’t heard back yet. The app said that there was a 3-week admission decision, and I submitted it almost a month ago.

Should I be worried that I haven’t heard from them yet? Does it mean that I haven’t been accepted, or are they just running late, or…?

Snowgirl16: You might want to call the school and ask them how much longer you have to wait. They might be running late.

I got my letter today… I didn’t get in! :'(

snowgirl I am sorry. Do you have other EA apps out? Best of luck with your remaining apps!

I got my letter today and I got wait-listed. I’m not exactly surprised because I applied on a whim and showed no previous interest in the school. Does anyone know what the chances are of getting in off the wait-list? Should I maybe schedule an interview?

gahhhh I stillll haven’t gotten my letter. but they said i would be informed in January so thats not bad right? I’m in the same boat as you carmenclarissa, I didn’t show much interest, then again there was no supplement… gah.

my daughter got her letter today…didn’t get in either. But…she has decided to be a Duck anyway.
