Anyone get their fin aid package yet?

A few of my friends have rec'd theirs already, but I'm still waiting.

yeah i got mine. it was just like 14000 in loans... not much better than private universities. oh well.

My son received his on Monday--all loans.

So 12 minutes after I started this thread, I received an email from UW telling me my financial aid package can be viewed through MyUW. That was quick!

yes. student loan and parent loan.

sucks, basically.

all loans. Good thing I got scholarships.

UW is sort of stingy with their money...too many loans. If you're looking for scholarships, WA state residents might want to check out http://www.washington.edu/alumni/uwab/abscholarship.html. It's due on March 31, so there's not much time left. Also, there are a number of scholarships offered by fraternities and sororities in the spring too.

Does exempt mean it doesn't need to be paid? Half of the things on mine were loans while the other half said exempt. Any help?

c0nnection,
Did you get the undergraduate tuition exemption? I got that and I know that doesn't need to be repaid.

Yes, that's what I got. So that doesn't need to be paid back for sure? If that's true, I'm thankful I got something!

The tuition exemption is a scholarship/grant sort of award.
