<p>I was told about 3 weeks after the May 1st deadline, but I still haven't gotten any word about it. </p>

<p>according to u of i, we find out in late may / early june. I got a letter today and thought i was finally gonna find out if i got into LEADs but it was just the stupid registration day confirmation junk. when my mom was talking to them on the phone, they said that my room was assigned.... why are they sitting on it?!?!? POST IT ONLINE YOU COWARDS!!!!</p>
<p>'ya know, i think we should consider the fact that they are not miracle workers here. they're not just working out housing for incoming Freshmen class but also sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are living in their dorms. If you think about it, it probably is not that easy of a task to complete.</p>
<p>what if the data on their computer that said i was assigned to dorm X was automatically updated on my housing login page? thatd be easy and save them the time of sending me a letter... o well, ill wait.</p>

<p>I already sent in my deposit and WILL be staying at Illini tower, a private housing. Would I be in trouble if I haven't yet told u of I that i will NOT be staying at one of their public dorms ?</p>

<p>You don't actually get it back. It is applied to your first semester bill which you will get in September.</p>

<p>mail. some people just find out earlier. for us, we had to write an essay and crud b/c it was apparently competitive. you'll find out soon. don't expect them to just send them all out in 1 day.</p>
