I thought some of you might be interested in this link. I just got the email from Classical Singer magazine offering their free summer edition with their Young Artist Program directory. It’s free so have had it. (I don’t currently subscribe even, although my D did participate in their national competition one year.)

My D is going to West Chester University Summer Music Camp. It is her first summer camp and hopefully it is a good start for her college audition prep.

My daughter is going to Orpheus Music Festival at Simpson College this summer. She went last year and really loved it. The faculty was great and the cost is really reasonable. She got a lot of one on one with voice lessons every day. She participated in madrigals, musical theater and choir. When they found out she also plays cello, they put her in a quintet with flutes and a bass. The week sold her on Simpson College, so she’s going back this summer. We are still looking at other schools (she’ll only be sophomore this year), but this camp provides a nice look at what Simpson music has to offer.
