I’m just wondering - How was it?

I liked it!
A lot more people were there than I thought there would be. It was packed and the weather was sooo nice. Food was abundant of course. And staff and students made themselves readily available. You also got a more in depth tour of the campus, which is what I needed. It showed that the student body has a lot of pride in their school too. I’m pretty sure me and my family bought half the bookstore.

The best part, I think, was getting the tips and information from staff and students that you can’t get from reading the website or a catalog.

So excited for Orientation now!

nice! I’m looking forward to transfer day on May 8th.

Did it feel more like a small private school or a UC itself?

After my first year at UCM, I have this to say:

It feels a lot like a small private university. It’s definitely a lot smaller than all the other UCs, and the classes are more personal in terms of professor-student relationships. At the same time, being a new school there are much more opportunities available in terms of ECs, internships, lab positions, and the like compared to all the other UCs.
