I'm really tired of waiting on my last decision and I don't know what else to do with time.
Instead of passing time restlessly, I'm thinking of attending their reception to be sure that I don't want UCB before I decline their offer.
Anyone else going?

waste of time imo. any questions can be answered via telephone with teh quickness

lol i'm so bored..............................................!!

what school are you waiting on?

I can't believe you don't want Berkeley!

Anyone know what the dress code is? Business, smart casual, formal, etc?

Tie dye shirt and hemp shorts are mandatory. Flip flops are cool too, but barefoot = hardcore hippie status.

I'm going to attend... wanna talk with some students hopefully that would shed some light regarding the social life in Cal.

I might go...

MIGHT go? don't u have to make ur reservations in advance?

Funny, poppin :) I forgot, this is Cal we're talking about.

Code Pink, everyone! Code PINK!!

remmert - I'm waiting on pomona. It's coming out in 5 days.
If I get in, I'm turning down both ucb and ucla in a heartbeat.
But knowing my chances are very very extremely slim at pomona, I am f...ed.

Seriously guys, what are we supposed to wear? I would love to go in shorts and flipflops, but I don't want them to rescind my admission either. (I'm very paranoid, leave me alone.)

To those of you who went to the previous Cal events, what did you wear?

Better rent a tux, better safe than sorry.

Actually, if you're worried you may say something which is against the Berkeley-protocol, you probably shouldn't go in the first place.

Again, better safe than sorry.

Ha. Guess you have a point there. Business casual it is, then.

I wonder what somebody would actually have to say to get booted from a school as liberal as Cal.

i called haas and asked about calso and the orientation
they said u don't have to wear anything formal just something comfortable.
its not like its a graduation ceremony or a republican rally.

i think overdressing would be kinda like a laughing stock?
i think a tshirt and jeans should be fine

I don't believe it'll require formal clothing. I believe it's just a casual reception to introduce basic CAL information, and for CAL students to mingle.

With that said, I think I might go to a Haberdashery to buy something so I could look spiffy? Ah, we shall see...

i'll just go in flipflops, Tshirt and bermudas. no kidding.
even the "transfer graduation" at my college thats wut i'll wear, or i m not going lol.

Is it mandatory to RSVP?

it should be mandatory or they wouldn't call me and leave a msg reminding. and its in the events menu.
well u could just go, i doubt they'll kick u out >_> just remember to bring ur acceptance letter
