I have windows 98 (I know...I know...I'll put her to rest soon) and I'm having trouble hooking my Lexmark z25 printer up to it. Can anyone help me or give me a link to a site? Please. Please.

What do you mean by trouble hooking it? Can you be a little more specific?

Yeah I can try helping too since I'm a pretty good with computers. Do you know where to hook it up or you did and it's not working. Be must specific like eva10127 said.

Try this website for now until you respond back:
http://www.lexmark.com/publications/eng/z25-z35/index.html

I don't know how to make it-i guess- "talk" to my computer. I tried to use a connection wizard but the printer wasn't listed. I have no idea.

hm..did you have it properly installed? Since windows 98 isn't like windows xp where sometimes you don't need the installation disc to access a device. You should download the installation program or pop the cd that came with it in the CD-rom. Try plugging the usb cord into the other available ports in the back of your cpu.

ok. I'll try that.

if u have any questions u can ask me

or if my blog helps, check out my blog...its about computers and ppl have told me it is very helpful!

Okay please try the following.

1) Disconnect everything from the printer.
2) Recconect all cables and add paper.
3) Power on the printer.
4) Install the CD (or see b)
5) Attempt to print
a If you do not have the CD please say so and i will help locate a copy if you wish, or go through step b*
b* :
1) Hit start > control panel > printers and faxes > add a printer (right click on folder in 98 i believe)
2) Follow the installation setup and reply with results. I will be back in the morning.

Its not plug and play, so u need to install teh driver from the disk

It's working!! I downloaded the driver and followed the instructions given by lexmark to a tee. Thank you guys so much. I've been trying to make this thing work since November.lol. No, seriously. You guys really helped thanks for your time. =)

uh. Spoke too soon. Now it's "pretending" to print but spitting out blank pages. Well, at least it's communicationg with the printer. The hard part is over.
