anyone got accepted for cmu 2nd early decision?

<p>bc i got in!!! soooo freaking excited!</p>

<p>when did you send your app?
and did you get your recipe of your app?
did they send you the decision before the christmas holiday?</p>

<p>and what were your stats and what college did you apply?
if don't mind sharing them,.,,</p>

<p>i sent mine on the 14th.
they sent the decision on the 22nd.
applied to arch school. 4.49 gpa, 1930 sat, english 2nd language...what else do u want to know?</p>

<p>i was totally caught off guard bc i thought the decisons wont come out til mid jan.</p>

<p>o and they send me a receipt on the 16th. i forgot when i ACTUALLY got the mail</p>

<p>I still haven't recieved the receipt letter. I applied through the common app online for ED 2 also on the 14th. Sabeg have you recieved the receipt letter?</p>

i called the adm office and a lday working there told me that it would be ok
but i live in NJ so im kinda worried that they hadn't gotten my app yet b/c of the break</p>

<p>i just called adm office and they told me that my app haven't been complete and i told them that i applied ED2
they said it would take up 2 more weeks
i won't worry so much right now,,my app isn't even complete</p>

<p>Congrats! Hopefully(I havent found out yet about getting in.. applied rd) we'll be classmates next year.</p>

<p>How did you apply to arch ed 2? I thought CFA ED was only on Nov. 1st?</p>

<p>u could apply to arch for ed 2. it was actually the only one that u could apply to in the college of fine arts</p>

<p>not legacy. thought my essays sucked bc i got rejected from cornell.
catch-moved here from taiwan in 8th grade. taking calculus 3. taking ap art for the second year. and living in az</p>

<p>just wondering (although this wanders off the topic.. sorry!), but does being a minority (asian) who moved here (like, in 2nd grade) help at all? I always thought either way there was a lot of competition (esp for asians) but it seems like some ppl interpret it as an advantage? (im first generation asian-american).</p>

<p>wouldnt say moving here in 2nd grade helps...and asian doesnt really count as minority</p>
