I’m not really looking for stats, just to see if anyone here applied and got accepted to them…because fisher accepts like what? 45 students?

I got into M&T last year; as did a few other people on this board. There are people here who have gotten into Huntsman as well.

Is it better for me to apply for wharton(since the competition is less fierce) or m&t? I have done some science stuff (not research, just counselor, clubs, and camp) ?

and mooses who is Mr. Reynolds

Apply for m&t if you want to do it, because you get to list a backup school (SEAS or Wharton); and if you aren't accepted into m&t, you still get looked at by the wharton/seas adcoms and can be accepted.

Scott Reynolds was the associate director of m&t, but in June he moved to a different position within the university and was replaced by Lea Engle.

EDIT: Also, iwantfood, let me add this for what its worth. I haven't seen your stats, but, at least in my case, this was a worthwhile piece of advice: If you don't have superstar stats (I didn't), the one way you can really improve your chances at getting into to one of these joint degree programs in in the essay that is specific to that program. If it is UNIQUE, and shows how your career interests involve both business and engineering, then your chances will be improved alot. For some, because of their stats, this isn't as big of an issue; but personally, I don't think I would have had a shot were it not for my essay.

Mooses, what were your stats? I am also VERY interested in the M&T program and my stats aren't absolutely STELLAR, but they are really good. SAT 2100 (800M, 640 CR, 660 W, with a retake in Oct) is probably gonna hurt me, but can I get in?

well will the Wharton adcoms look at my stats ED, if I don't get into M&T ED? I know someone got in Wharton ED here (but he applied to huntsman), but does that apply to M&T?

Also how do you meet the associate director? Do you live in Philly?

I too was wondering, if we are not accepted ED into M&T, if they will still evaluate us for our single-major alternative under ED. Anybody know?

Yes, they do. It says right on the application. The app tells you to check the school you would like to them to evaluate you for if you don't get accepted to ANY of the j/d programs.

They will evaluate you for the j/d program ED and for the single school ED, and if you are deferred, they will do the same thing RD! That's a lot of looks!

You can drop by the m&t office to meet Lea. Its no guarantee, but i did stop by once and scott sat down and talked to me so its possible if your in the philly area. Its not really a big deal though; I don't think it will really have a huge effect on your app if your able to do this or not.

My SAT1's were good but the 2's and ap less so. In brief:
800m/740v=1540 sat1
700 math2c, 750 writing, 640chem, 690lit in sat2's
4 in ap euro, 2 in ap chem (problem with slack-off chem teacher, letter from counselor probably softened the blow of this 2 and the 640)

M&T 08

the program is very Numbers focused, i think this is why you get so many indians and chinese, and not as interested in various extracurrics, unless they're really knock out.

I guess ******* is down.. edit: what the crap, why is the STATS for PR site blocked?

i was 800M/750V 800 Writing and Chemistry, and various other SAT2's, which I all got 760+ on.
