They emailed me saying everyone will get a decision by April 1st, but i am not sure when the earliest decisions are delivered. Also are the decisions based on whoever sent their applications in first or are they done randomly?

There is no relation between the time you sent your application and the time they will notice you.But I am not sure if there is relation between the time they processed your application and the time they will notice you .(someone sent their application before December but still does not get any information from stony brook either they receive the application nor they will process the application .But if they start processing the application early ,will they deliever the decision earlier ?

I believe it was mid-late October they were accepted to chemical engineering

Her guidance counselor called the admissions dept. and asked if she was accepted and they said yeah. I don’t think she received any mail for it yet.

I applied to chemical engineering too… uhmm. should i call too? i applied some time in october but submitted everything at the end of november though… i logged into solar and nothing is there.

My son’s SOLAR portal was just updated and now notes the has been admitted to Stony Brook and will receive his admission letter within two weeks. The information on SOLAR also notes that “notifications of decisions for honors programs, and offers of financial aid and scholarships, will be sent in separate communications beginning in mid-March.”
