<p>Acceptance seems to be random. Person with 1450 composite and 3.8 didn’t receive their decision yet along with a lot of great applicant ( from my school on li)</p>

<p>yeah i dont quite understand this whole decision thing from stony brook. i have a 1160/1770 sats and like a 3.9 gpa w. a lottttttt of ecs but i havent recieved word on admission. I feel like theyre only taking people with high sats/acts right now because i have a lot more stuff than my friends who were admitted except for the sat scores.</p>

same daughter was asked by U Buffalo to complete presidential scholarship app. which was solicited to her by the college… does SB do it the same way? She has not even received a letter of acceptance to U B, but received a letter from them asking/encouraging her to apply for prez scholarship…which she did… but when i called the University, they said she’d be accepted…in lieu of fact they are asking her to apply for the full ride scholarship…soemthing that only i think they offer invites to 200 kids…fingers crossed… wonder if SB will do same way</p>
<p>^ The SUNY schools have different processes for Honors and merit. For Stony Brook, you are considered for Honors if you check off the appropriate box when you apply (for the common app, it’s on the supplemental app). All applicants appear to be considered for merit scholarships, without the need for additional application.</p>
<p>Hey all. Picked the wrong time to be sick for a few days, eh? A few quick thoughts:</p>
<p>Yes, SOME admissions decisions are out. (Obviously.) 
But MOST of our decisions are not made yet; we only released about a small percentage of the application pool last week. We’ll send out more decisions in batches over the next two months.</p>
<p>WHEN you applied has ZERO bearing on when your decision comes out.</p>
<p>Keep an eye on SOLAR is right; you’ll find out there first.</p>
<p>Congrats to everyone whose decision is already out, and everyone else, please hang in there!</p>

<p>I submitted my app in October and received the email that confirmed that my information had processed in December. It seems like their system is really slow. 
When did everyone who got accepted apply and get their confirmation emails?</p>

<p>Apparently this was suppose to be due on the 18th of last month but mid year grades weren’t even out by then and it’s still not out right now for my school. None of my friends got this message on their solar accounts. 
So, should I still submit it? Even though it’s way pass the due date…</p>
