Anyone gotten likely letters yet?

congrats to you!! what did the letter look like was it like a postcard or..? also was there something in your artistic review that stood out to make you think you had gotten in or any indication. HAHA im so nervous waiting!

It was an envelope from NYU, kinda boxy rather than rectangular. And it just has a single piece of paper in it saying something along the lines of "Congratulations! Your letter of admission to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts is on its way!" :-DDDDDD!!!

My artistic review was pretty standard. I did both of my monologues and then the evaluator had me go back to the first one and work with it a little bit for like 3 minutes. Best of Luck to you!!!

Congrats Tisch drama ppl!! I hope I get mine soon! I just auditioned Feb. 18th in Atl.

Yea, I got the same letter as Anticipation16. My artistic review went really well, in my opinion; I left with good feelings especially because after having me say my dramatic piece once more, the adjudicator told me that it was beautiful. The interview was standard and I only spoke the truth.

Has Stern sent any out to CA yet?

My S received an accepted Tisch student invite today. He applied to Film.

@Catalysis:

A kid in my AP Econ class heard from Stern yesterday/today(?). (I live in Nor-Cal - East bay to be exact.)

I heard from Steinhardt on March 10th by email and I'm international. Anyone else heard from steinhardt? I'm so excited!!
Good luck to everyone else!

I am from Upstate NY and got into CAS today.

My SAT scores were actually pretty low (1930) but I have a bunch of awards/activities that REALLY make up for it including national writing competitions and multiple state rankings in sports (I'd prefer to not give the names of them for anonymity)

did anyone that applied to stern in the us get a likely?

I don't know if what I got is a likely, but today, I received a letter in the mail from NYU saying that my admission letter (to CAS) was on its way. It was pretty uncalled for, but pretty sweet.

It came in an envelope that says "Congratulations, Join Us!" on the front.

tisch drama hopeful here...i did the summer program (strasberg) and people (there were only 16 of us) are getting their invites, this is torture i hope it comes tommorow..
just out of curiousness ...when were your auditions and do you guys have really high act/sat scores? and what state do you live in. im in michigan and im getting scared..

IndiaGurley, I live in Pennsylvania, my audition was Feb. 11. I have solid stats/ECs and I have a 32 ACT score and a 2130 sat score.

wow those are great stats. ****, pennsylvania??? maybe it is just the top ten percent who are getting invites... i got a 28 on my ACT and i have a 3.6 gpa.. is that bad for tisch?

stern hopeful here (NJ)

from what i've seen thus far, no one from stern has received invitations / likely letters. the only stern acceptances i've seen are scholar program candidates [aka those w/ crazy good stats]. just today, 4 kids from my school received those invitations and they all applied for CAS. and the few that applied to stern from my school [including myself] did not receive anything. so it seems to me that stern will send it's own wave of letters / invitations / etc.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/new-york-university/658034-chances-nyu-stern-hopeful.html

^ It does seem like most people who are getting in early applied to CAS.

Thank you india! I live like an hour outside of Philadelphia, PA. Yeah, only like 3 people have found out so far for Tisch, so maybe this was one of the first waves? the Tisch Admitted Students weekend isnt until April 4, so I wouldnt be too worried. Lots of time!

I got one today from Steinhardt!

IndiaGurley: I'm not sure how much stats have to do with this rather than the holistic view of particular applicants. My ACT score was worse than yours (26). My GPA is a 3.892. I guess NYU looks at a lot of other things than just numbers--which is very nice to know.

Christ, guys, this is making me so nervous.
