In the acceptance letter they mentioned that a second packet with more information would be sent "later this month." I'm waiting for it excitedly. Has anyone gotten it yet?

i just got the first package recently...lol

I haven't gotten the second packet, but I was just about to post something about this, too!
And I thought that once the acceptance later came I would stop waiting anxiously for mail from Princeton...I guess not!

do we have to send anything back from the 1st packet?

I really hope our @princeton.edu emails come next :D

haha- u really want to change ur facebook network dont u??

I don't think we have to send anything back from the first one except the financial aid agreement, if you received any aid.

wut about the honor code thing?

just read it. i think we need to sign it when we're at princeton; there will be a special meeting with the honor committee

could anyone who's already received it post info about what's inside the second packet that Princeton is sending us? thanks

o and whens the deadline for the financial aid agreement form?

No idea... I haven't sent it in yet actually. I don't think it matters too much, just sometime soon.

I'm not sure when you'll get the second packet, but seeing as you haven't gotten it yet, it might be until late January-ish. If I remember correctly, it contains this year's undergraduate announcement (a book of classes/majors/programs offered by Princeton), a book about the Freshman Seminar program, a small book about the senior thesis -- "Quintessentially Princeton" -- and a little card for you to send in that confirms that you will matriculate.

After that, I'm sad to say you won't be hearing much/anything from Princeton until April or May, when you will start receiving the same info as the RD acceptees. If you're lucky, your local Princeton club will hold a couple of receptions for you to meet up with other prefrosh. If you're kindof near the LA area but not exactly in LA (e.g. Orange County) you might want to check out the Princeton Club of Southern California's event calendar, because PCSC is the LA club and you probably won't be getting invitations to our events. But you're very welcome if you bring yourself to our area and RSVP!

Thanks for the info, frozen-tears!
Eek, I'm so excited to get more information from Pton!!!
Yes, I know that's kind of weird. :)

i can guarantee that your not the only one...haha so it def not weird :)

its not coming until spring

So why would they say "later this month" in the acceptance letter?
I understand that the matriculation stuff might not come until the RDs get it, but I still think we'll get something by the end of January. Maybe it's just ridiculous optimism, but whatever. I'm fine with that. :)

i know becuase someone at the admission office told me....

also, my friend who is a class ahead of me in princeton said that she didnt receive anything until april (she was accepted ED)

so i think the second package thing is not coming until spring....but it doesnt matter becuase ill just assemble my own package :-)

But frozen-tears (a current freshman--post #13) told us what the package should contain and then said we wouldn't be receiving anything more until April, when we would start getting the same stuff as the RD people.
Now I'm confused.
But not giving up hope!
And planning on making my own package, too! :)

of course its possible the admissions lady had no idea what i was talking about and thought i was just talking about the undergraduate announcement
