I would like to know someone has FA with acceptance or wait listed. It looks like they put most of kids who needs FA in the wait listed.
Thank you.

syklsj - You’re not going to be able to gather an accurate sampling from the replies you get here, and you’re asking families to post some very personal information.

In response to your question, I would agree that very many families who need FA get waitlisted or denied. Whether or not it’s “most,” I don’t know. But very many families who need FA also get it . . . but when the funds are used up, they’re used up. There simply isn’t enough money for everyone!

I assure you that the schools use every penny of FA funds they have available. They don’t turn away candidates just so they can save their FA funds for next year or use them for another purpose. But they are in the same position that any of us is in: we only have so much money in our household budgets, and it’s rarely possible to stretch that money far enough to cover everything we want. So, sometimes we just have to say “no,” to ourselves, to our kids, to our spouses. The schools have to say “no” to far too many of the qualified candidates who come to them needing FA. It’s sad, but that’s the way it is.
