i just wanna know do they have scholarships or financial aid for international students?
Cal Poly is a state school, meaning California taxpayers support the school so most of the financial aid available will be for in-state applicants. The Cal States expect International and out of state students to be pretty much Full pay. They do have some scholarships around $1-5K for some academically outstanding students, but most aid is need-based in the form of Cal Grants for in-state students.
There are some scholarships at the school’s website which you can apply but these are not automatic.
Also there are 2 Cal Poly’s: Pomona (CPP) and San Luis Obispo (SLO)
@Gumbymom thank you but SLO is much better than pomona one = D
Pomona and SLO are both polytechnic’s and SLO has a more renowned reputation for their Engineering/Architecture and Business programs, but Pomona is not that far behind. Location and school vibe is where they differ. SLO is in a small town near the Central Coast of California, very residential and somewhat isolated.
Pomona is near large metropolitan cities such as Los Angeles, Orange County cities of Santa Ana, Irvine etc… and more commuter than SLO.
Each has their advantages and disadvantages. Really depends upon what your are looking for in terms of academics and social life. Financially both will be about the same as an International student.
