Anyone have a list of colleges that have kosher (not just veggie) dining?

My son is not religious but keeps kosher. He is an athlete so he needs meat/chicken regularly. My oldest is a Dartmouth and they have a glatt station right in the main dining room. The Ivies are out for this son, too late to be recruited plus he hasn't even taken the SAT's yet (he's will be class of 2018).

You might go to the Hillel website. They have all sorts of Jewish college information.

ETA: Here’s a list of all the colleges w/ kosher dining: http://www.hillel.org/HillelApps/JLOC/Search.aspx

Wellesley has a kosher dining hall but clearly that won’t help your son!

University of Maryland College Park has Kosher dining. UDelaware is making plans for it. Try posting your question on this thread:

There are parents familiar with many schools who post here.

Brandeis. They have Kosher and non-Kosher as separate wings of one dining hall so kids can eat together. (Or at least that’s the way I remember it being explained.)

Quite a few colleges also have Kosher options through Hillel.

Emory and Goucher

Many schools with substantial Jewish populations have kosher dining options but they aren’t always right in the main dining hall(s). Is that a critical issue? I know that kids who kept kosher at my school back in the day could either go to the Hillel for lunch/dinner or could eat what they were comfortable with in the main dining halls. I personally was comfortable eating vegetarian/parve, even hot dishes, but one could also request tuna or cheese. They even had tuna in the can for folks who didn’t want their food contacting the dishes in the kitchen.

Google is your friend [colleges with kosher dining options - Google Search](<a href=“colleges with kosher dining options - Google Search”>colleges with kosher dining options - Google Search)

Columbia University

Towson University

Binghamton University is great with this.

Penn State UP

You should make a list of potential fit schools for your son and then look at the food they serve rather than the other way around.

One source is if you search “reform judaism college guide”. They put out a list each year that attempts to list schools with lots of Jewish kids. I say “attempts” because the data isn’t particularly reliable.

Cornell. There’s even a kosher dining station in one of the dining halls near the freshman dorms, which are located very far from the building that houses the main kosher dining hall. This makes kosher dining convenient for first-year students.

Incidentally, at Cornell, dining is not linked to housing. A student could live off-campus and be on a meal plan and eat in the kosher dining hall, for example. Or a student who lives on campus could be on no meal plan at all. Cornell is very flexible.

Second Binghamton University and add Ithaca College. Both schools have large Jewish populations.

U-Penn has a hilel dining hall. My daughter loves the food there. It is more expensive then the “regular” dining hall - something to do with a swipe and a fee - not sure. She’s not Jewish, not Muslim, not kosher, but as a picky eater likes the food much better.

Oy Veh Cafe at U of Arizona:
