Anyone have multiple kids in college thriving and failing ;(

Be careful – not all STEM subjects have good or well-paid career prospects. Low pay prospects are not necessarily bad if the student is aware, lives a low cost lifestyle, and avoids large debt, but the assumption that “STEM = high pay” is definitely not true for all such subjects.

If it’s simply just goofing off, partying all time, not taking grades seriously, etc. then I’m not paying for that. Period.

How refreshing to hear real discussion from parents of kids that aren’t perfect!

My kids are perfectly human! Ups and downs, strengths and weaknesses. Some have the strengths that play well to the college admissions committee and some have strengths that show up elsewhere. We just have to accept them for who they are.

Love these last three posts! To all the parents out there with less than perfect children, cheers to us
