<p>We have a firefighting class that is taught in a separate building and it lasts 2 periods. One of my friends takes it and he took shifts going alongside real firefighters over the summer as well. Apparently some of these shifts lasted for a over 20 hours.</p>
<p>We have this random math class between Algebra II and Precalc called Advanced Math IV. It’s basically a mixture of a couple precalc concepts and trig. I feel like it’s completely unnecessary.</p>
<p>…There’s a class called “Hotel Service”, where you work in a hotel part-time. </p>
<p>Oh and “foods” class, where they teach you how to cook :D.</p>
<p>We use to have an interior design, and woods class, but those classes unfortunately got cut due to budget cuts ]:</p>
<p>The other ones are those strategic “math classes and english classes”, which is pretty self-explanatory.</p>
<p>I don’t know if it’s common, but my school offers “Sport Science”. What could you do in that class?</p>
<p>We have woodworking, advanced woodworking… All the way up to woodworking 4… Which is basically building stuff out of wood all period (my friend made a poker table!)</p>
<p>We have two four-hour-long biotechnology lab classes that are super cool. Amazing projects and presentations from biotech researchers. One lab we do is inserting the fluorescent green glow gene from a jellyfish with plasmids into a genetically modified strain of E. coli!</p>

<p>I do Textiles, which is basically just designing and making clothes. And then we have a theory exam which really sucks :(</p>
<p>We have Film Studies, it’s literally a class where all you do is watch movies, people often go into it for extra sleep during school or do their homework during the movie. We also have robotics where you just build different kinds of robots, I always thought that was pretty cool</p>
