Anyone have tips to get a 36 on ACT? Got 35

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and this is probably the only place I can ask this without being obnoxious. I took the ACT this past September and got the following:

35C
35E
33M
36R
35S

Does anyone have any tips to increase my score (particularly math)? Any tips you might have would help. I'm registered to take the next test this October, but I'm a junior so I have plenty of time to implement your suggestions. Thanks.

Also, I forgot to mention that I know that there are a lot of threads on this topic. I started this one because I wanted advice from people that have done really well on the ACT and on the math section in particular. I feel like the other math suggestions out there are things directed at people in the 20’s (picking random answers is hardly an option for a 33+)

implement this strategy: Don’t take it… you got a 35 thats already 75th percentile of all schools. Focus on other things.

I would take your advice @PaulPierce34‌ but my parents are sort of making me retake it haha.

Tell them that it looks bad if you keep retaking the ACT with such a high score. Remember some schools demand to see your entire testing history. If they see a person with a 35 retaking to get another 35, admissions is going to wonder about you.

You want to stand out from the other applicants in a good way.

I agree with the all the above. With all due respect to your parents, you run the risk of being perceived as a test-taking drone who has nothing better to do with his/her Saturdays. Focus on fine-tuning your essays and other aspects that will positively make you stand out.

If you get rejected, rest assured it’s not because of your ACT scores.

The reason you are getting a 33 in math is not because of a lack of knowledge or studying, but its probably silly mistakes that anyone would make. Also, please tell your parents that if you get another 35 on the next ACT or lower (which is very likely) your college applications will be heavily negatively affected. There is absolutely no reason to take the ACT again. You will not get rejected because of your 35, it is in the top 25 percent of all schools including HYPS. Do not ruin a first-time 35 for the slight chance that you will get a 36, i can guarantee you that both you and your parents will regret it.

What did you study to get a high score in English?
