Wondering if anyone here will be attending Brooks in September?

My son looked at Brooks and decided not to apply only because it was a little smaller than what he wanted.

But let me say: it is a LOVELY school. We were very, very impressed with the faculty, students, and campus. We are local and know a couple of families with children there as well, and they rave. It’s a gem, in my opinion.

I’ve met a pair of faculty from Brooks, and they were wonderful. We had a long discussion about a handful of day and boarding schools, and they were knowledgeable, involved, and all around very nice. That’s the only interaction I’ve ever had, but it was a good one!

We lived in North Andover for almost ten years before moving to the god-forsaken west when ChoatieKid was two. Hardly a day goes by when I don’t regret what “could have been” had we stayed. Brooks is a phenomenal school. You will love the gorgeous campus, inclusive culture, and proximity to Boston and a major airport (if you need to fly). Also, if you row or plan to try crew, Brooks is one of those lucky schools that has rowing tanks. The town is lovely – sheep-shearing on the common and apple-picking and pumpkin-patching at Smolak Farm in the fall. Congratulations on your choice. I’m sure you will love your time there. Brooks does not get a lot of press here, so please do stick around and continue to post about your experience.

My daughter’s a junior. She’s had an amazing 3 years so far at Brooks. Feel free to PM me.
