Just wondering if anyone has been received any notifications. Audition was in NYC and have been at APPLAUD stage for awhile!

Webster has one more audition day on March 24th. :0) We are waiting too. My D has been at APPLAUD since October. haha!

Lara Teeter told me that the decisions would not go out until April 1st…I hate this WAIT!

Well, I guess we are in it until the bitter end!

My D found out last year before April 1…as did others…the week following the last audition week end!

Thanks, 'mybroadwaybaby"! My daughter auditioned as a walkin at the NYC Unifieds. Webster was not on her list at the time. It was one of most enjoyable and challenging auditions. She loved the alums working the desk and L. Teeter’s email was just enough of a personal touch to place Webster squarely on her radar. She investigated and applied. Their admissions department made everything so easy and she has exchanged many emails with her admissions adviser and again, was impressed with the personal touch. Webster has become her number one school so it is nice to know, in this case, that no news is good news, at least for now!

Hopefuly we are notified before April 1st…Just going off of Lara’s words.

“Mybroadwaybaby” I think I sent you a private message…in fact maybe two because I could not tell if the first went through! Hope you got at least one!

Hey i thought i would just let you all who are waiting know that last year,
D checked into the online system at Webster the week after the final audition week-end (which this year is THIS week end) and found that her status had changed from “applaud” to “accepted” for Musical Theatre. It was kind of a surprise, as we believed we would not find out until April 1. So, i called admissions, who confirmed that she had been accepted. A snail mail letter followed somewhere closer to April 1. I think several families had similar experiences last year!

Good luck!

Sooo…as so many of the programs are making personal phone calls when accepted, does Webster not make phone calls? Just notifies through the mail and via website??

Hi Momofstar,

I tried to PM about our experience…but it sounds like maybe it didn’t go through!

I don’t really know if they call people to admit them…my daughter was not called, but we met with Lara on the day she found out on line, as we scheduled a visit before knowing she was admitted…so we just happened to be there.

For those of you who are waiting to hear, my son auditioned on Saturday (their last audition date) and they told us they would decide by Tuesday of this week and Admissions would start sending letters (snail mail) to arrive by April 1st. They said they would mail acceptances first. They will make offers to 50-60 in hopes of a a yield of 25 MT, Acting and Directing students. Good luck everyone!

Thanks so much for the update! My daughter is anxiously awaiting their decision. Our spring vacation is next week and plans are made to visit the schools she has been accepted to…I should update that! Sad that we will not hear from Webster, before our arrangements are made, especially because she so wants a 'yes; from them. Fingers crossed for everyone!

My D who is a freshman just told me that they were told today, that once letters were sent, results would be available on line too!

Has anyone heard any news yet?

Nothing here…

Just checked online. Status changed to “You are at the ACCEPTED stage” with today’s date! I THINK thats an acceptance to the MT program?! Anyone else?

Congratulations! No update here…however, knowing now that the statuses have been updated, we are sadly putting Webster into the ‘no’ category, so that we can focus on the good news!

D’s also says ACCEPTED on 3/29/12 (but she auditioned for acting not MT).

just checked!!! ACCEPTED on 3/29/12 for musical theatre!
