I applied in late October as a nursing major and have yet to hear anything! Has anyone heard anything back that also applied as a nursing major??

D applied to nursing in September…hasn’t heard anything yet.

ok thanks for letting me know. I’m so anxious!

I applied as a Kinesiology major Sept 1 and have not heard. Like nursing, it’s also in the College of Health and Human Development.

I guess we’ll all know in about two weeks. I get more anxious every day.

D applied in early Oct,no word yet either…Accepted for Nursing at Dusquense,Drexel,Fairfield,U Mass, and deferred at "Nova and Northeastern…So whlie the waiting is a pain, at least she has some solid schools to choose from

I applied in October too and have not heard back yet. However, I got an email a while back that said that a decision should be made by January 31st…

I also applied back in September, but to the second degree program. I have talked to nursing students that are there this year, and they never received their letters last year until May! I really hope we don’t have to wait that long- I have never been very patient, lol.

Updated today, D didn’t get accepted to Nursing program…Love the tuition rates compared to where she has been accepted, but was uncertain over the 2 years at UP then the next 2 at hershey for clinicals…Best of luck to all still waiting word!!!

I applied to nursing on october 7th and i still havn’t heard anything! i emailed the admissions office 2 days ago and am waiting to hear a reply/hopefully have my status updated!

What UMASS did your daughter get into?

Amherst, but not going as they wanted her to come “undecided”, and we thought getting into Nursing program after a semester or so, would prove difficult

I didn’t get into the nursing program as well!

D didn’t get in either. It isn’t clear whether getting rejected from the major means a rejection from either State College and the satellite campuses too. Since D doesn’t want to consider any alternative majors, it doesn’t matter much anyway.

I just heard back from Penn State nursing yesterday… I applied in the beginning of December so I am very surprised I heard back so fast but I got into nursing!!! yayyy. I also got into Case Western, UMass, Drexel, and URI nursing programs… but I got deferred from UConn nursing (and I’m instate…) and from Northeastern and Villanova. Wish you all the best of luck, but if you haven’t heard yet from Penn State I’m sure you will hear very soon.

Congrats jblan392! Which program did you apply to- associate or bachelors? Did you get accepted to UP? How did you find out- a letter, or on the website?

Sorry for all the questions…I am getting so nervous now after seeing that other people have been accepted. It worries me that I applied the first week of September, and still haven’t heard anything yet. :(

I applied for bachelors. Does UP mean UPitt? If it does, that was another nursing program I got deferred from, so I was surprised I got into Case Western and Penn State. I checked my mail yesterday and I had a huge welcome packet from Penn State. And you should seriously hear soon, dont worry about it! I applied to UConn in late September and I just heard back on Thursday and all of my friends heard 2 months before me (my friends who didnt apply to nursing) so nursing programs generally take longer to tell you your decision (I’m still confused why I heard back from Penn State so early but I’m not complaining!).

Not true about last year nursing receiving replies in May. My daughter received her acceptance in December.

miche- what program did your daughter apply to? The 3 girls that told me that they got their replies in May were all for the Associate’s program at PS-Altoona. Could they possibly send out their replies in different batches, or send more out later if people change their minds about going to PSU?

I am getting so frustrated…haven’t heard anything yet, and no status change on the website. Next week it will be 5 months since I applied. :(

I just got my acceptance this morning! :)

She applied to the bachelor of science program at University Park. So maybe it’s different. I think you have to let colleges know by May 1st if you are attending, so I don’t think the May date was right for University Park.
