Anyone hear from UCI and UCSD?

I applied as a Bus.Econ and Econ(alternate) major to pretty much all the UC's except riverside and merced. I got into Santa Cruz and Barbara, but nothing yet from the rest. Shouldn't I have already heard from UCI and UCD atleast? I have a 3.55 GPA.

The admissions are pretty random. I wouldn't worry about not hearing back from any of the UC's until late April, when they are all supposed to be out. UCD and UCI do them in batches, so you just weren't in the first batch. They will both probably be releasing second batches soon, assuming UCI will release first because they started their initial batch first. I have heard from UCD but not UCSB, UCSD, or UCI yet. I'm convinced they are completely random in order of evaluation and release of decision.

What was your gpa when you applied?

3.4

Bus econ for UCSB, UCLA
Sociology for UCI, UCB
Econ for UCSD
Managerial Econ for UCD

I'm kind of disappointed because I know I don't have a high enough gpa for LA and Berk and probably UCSD too, and all I needed for UCSB and UCI was around a 3.0 so I feel like because there is no real mid range UC as a transfer that I really blew it by not getting a 3.8 plus and being a real contender at Berkeley and LA. I would be happy at Davis though.

UCI is really that easy to get into as a transfer? You sure all you need is a 3.0?

For TAG I mean. I could have just signed a TAG from the beginning and got all B's, but I tried for the higher schools and fell short of what I wanted. Onward and upward though. Hopefully I can benefit from my poor performance and do better when I transfer to get into the best grad school possible.

Ok so what kind of gpa locks you in without TAG? I know for the better ones like Berkley and LA its higher, but for the lesser ones?

I dunno it depends on the major, but it seems that a lot of people get in with 3.2 and at least some progress towards pre reqs done at all the schools besides LA and Berk. Could be different this year though. I've seen average transfer GPAs for the UC's other than LA and Berk but I can't remember where I found it. I'll try to look for it.
