I have applied to USC Cinematic Arts as an incoming freshman? Anyone hear yes/no yet? Also, I know they interview some (all?) applicants? Has anyone been interviewed yet? If I haven't been notified that they want to interview me by now, does that basically mean I'm going to eventually get rejected?

Thanks...I've gotten into a coupel of places and would love to move forward with my planning, but USC was my #1 choice and am just waiting to hear.....

Only those who have been offered a scholarship have been notified and interviewed, as far as I know. I think everyone else has to wait until end of March, early April.

Hey! I applied too. Haven’t heard back yet. You find out the same time regular USC admission letters go out (heard they are starting to send them next week). I don’t think it matters that we weren’t called to interview!

Thanks, that makes me feel a little better; let me know if you hear anything. Best of luck!

My son was admitted and interviewed for the trustee scholarship, but it is my understanding that only those who were potential trustee or presidential scholarship recipients were interviewed- and the interviews were for the purpose of choosing the scholarship recipients, not for admission. He received the admission and the interview opportunity in the same package. They have so many applicants that they say they do not do interviews to choose those to be offered admission. So an interview was NOT part of the admission process. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear! These last few weeks are the worst… hopefully decisions will come out soon.

I was called 2 times on a Saturday about 3 weeks ago. Finally on the 3rd call, I was home to answer and I had a conversation (interview?) from USC’s Cinematic Arts Admissions. I have no idea if this is a positive sign for acceptance. I couldn’t get a good read on the outcome. I just told him that USC was my first choice and I would definitely go there if I were accepted. Biting my nails now…
