I applied to Vandy ED and I haven't heard the decision yet. Has anyone?

They should start coming in about a week

They will mail out our decisions on Friday, 12/15. Good luck Coyote!

We should start a decision thread for us ED'ers next week.

last year I had a friend who got a letter on the 15th and it says last date of notification is the 15th on the website so who knows.

Good Luck everybody. Just have to wait(and fill out apps to other schools as a backup) and see.

Does anyone know if we will be notified online as well? I'm a little unsure of how this all works. I mean, they can't ensure that the letter will arrive on the 15th for everyone, as there are students from all over the country applying. Does this mean that the letters are sent out on the 15th, or sometime before, or what? I live very close by and if they were to send it out on, say, the 13th - I would most likely recieve it the next day. Anyway, about the online thing.. is anyone aware? Thanks so much, and best of luck to everyone who applied EDI!

They send out a letter. You cannot check it online. I received mine the 12th last year...they sometimes will send them out early, depending on whether or not they have made their decisions. They will send them no later than the 15th. And don't be worried if the envelope is thin, as the acceptance package is only two or three pieces of paper.

taw, did many other people get them early last year? Do you have any idea if people also received them after the 15th??? Also, was your letter thick or thin? Was it a legal size or a 8 X 11? good luck to everyone.

There were people who received them after the 15th. It depends on when they make a decision...if they make it before the 15th, then they will send it out before the 15th. They will send it out no later than the 15th though, as that is the latest that they have to make a decision.

The acceptance letter was thin (I am assuming the rejection letter was as well). There were two or three 8"x11" sheets of paper folded into three sections each so that they would fit in the envelope.

Good luck to everyone! :)

Vandy said that they were going to send them out either Wednesday or Thursday.

ugh. i wish they would hurry up. getting nervous so bad.

Me too, I think I'm going to throw up. I keep imagining senarios of what might happen and some are outstanding and others horrifying. This is pure torture. >.< Even the outstanding senarios are depressing because then I think of being rejected and how ridiculous it is to think of the good ones... ugh. I'm not sure if I even want to get the letter b/c if I get rejected I'd rather not know at all, but if by some crazy miracle I am accepted I want to know this instant so everything in life will be okay. Lol. Anyway, sorry for the ramble - I'm in my calculus class and I started thinking about it. Good luck to everyone, seriously. And an advance congrats to all those that are soon to be accepted.

Coyote, where did you see/hear that Vandy was sending out letters on Wednesday or Thursday?

My friend called the admissions office and they said Wednesday or Thursday and we would have them by Friday or Saturday. Another person called and they told her they were going to mail them yesterday. So.....who knows.

Greetings from Vanderbilt,

The subject says it all. All ED 1 Letters were mailed from our office yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) and should reach your mailboxes in the next few days. In fairness to all students, we will not release any information or discuss decisions until Monday.

Good luck with your college searches, and welcome new Commdores!

just wondering, wat were ur stats that got u a full ride

Congrats man! Your $$$ was financial aid right? I doubt it would be merit aid if you were an ED candidate

Congrats Vandyhopeful. Wondering if your letter was thick, or thin? Was there any indication on the envelope that you were accepted?

if you got in ED please post your stats.. someone should prob make a new thread for this and follow the format that a lot of the other school forums use
