haha. ok so i got put on the waitlist. but didnt accept until like 2 weeks late just for the heck of it. then today i got in… hmm seriously, the universities in california soooo strange. i honestly do not know how things work. prob wont be going there though. waiting on an appeal decision from irvine and if not prob going to mt sac. good luck to all

What the heck? So after being rejected sometime back with “Denied, CSU Elig, Not Redirect”, I receive an email from Cal Poly Pomona telling me that I am accepted. Very interesting turn of events

@B1989R

No, I’m actually a first time freshman out of high school. I live in Riverside so I was barely out of the Tier 1 zone so my local CSU is San Bernadino but I didn’t want to go there.

anybody knows what happens when you miss the english placement deadline?

By what date do I need to sign up for orientation?

does anyone know how high the chances are of a provisional admit getting into cal poly pomona?

Provisional admit means you got accepted and the only reason you won’t get in is if you don’t turn in required paperwork on time or if you get a D on your transcript.

o thanks that helps a lot

" This year, 19 of the 182 Santa Ana College students who applied to Cal Poly Pomona for the fall 2010 semester have been accepted. Last year, 69 of the 92 SAC students who applied were accepted. That is 10.4 percent compared to the 75 percent the Admissions Office accepted the previous year."

I can see that people finally stopped posting in this forum, that probably means that most of you wait listed people got accepted/ or decided to attend another school.

Congrats/Good luck!!

It’s June and I never got an answer and most of these people are in the same boat but we were all forced to go to community college because it’s far to late to apply at private colleges for fall. Thanks cal poly!

@JL2688, are you serious? that’s not nice

My status remain in “reffered to impacted plan”. I take it as denied, but I wish they would have been more clear about admission status updates.

yep i am and that’s lucky because I know people who were accepted and then had that acceptance taken away and were put onto a wait list. Its okay though, its just our future.

Unbelieveable. So I got an email saying that Im provisionally admitted to Cal Poly Pomona today after I got a letter of denial one month ago. Thing is I took Trig/PreCal my senior year and I got a C first semester and D second semester ( i didnt try since i thought i was going to a CC for sure) I took Geometry 9th grade and Algebra II 10th grade and passed with C or better. But I took Trig/PreCal 11th grade and got 2 Fs. I called and the lady said if I passed Alg II, I have 3 yrs of math. Is this true? SOMEONE please help me out. I dont want to waste $50 to SIR for nothing. I took Alg I 8th grade and got C or better but I didnt put it down on my application.

call again at different times so you can see if multiple people can confirm what the first one said. I also got admitted after I got denied a month ago.

Yea Imma try and do that or even drive over there and ask.

Are you gonna SIR morningsup?

Also can you still log into your broncodirect acocount? I cant log into mine for some reason…

Not sure, makes choosing hard since i already sent in everything and paid everything to CSULA, but pomona is a better school, but still i don’t know, are you gonna sir?

Yeah i can log in my Bronco account

I got into CSULA but I denied them lol because I didnt want to go there. If I check with CPP and they say I indeed have 3 yrs of math, then Im leaning towards SIRing. Im already registered to go to MT SAC and hoping to transfer to USC or UCLA after 2 yrs. But I think I rather go to CPP and transfer to USC after two years…

Damn. I need to make a new account I guess.

Yeah you should take the CPP offer if you meet the requirements, good choice
