Anyone heard from Cal Poly Pomona yet?

ACCEPTED TO CSULB!

awaiting for CPP (my #1 choice) now.

Major: Biomedical Engineer
Transfer Student, 2.8 GPA, Tier 1 student (sorry guys :frowning: )

Is it a bad sign if transfers hear about acceptance and you’re a freshman? I saw that you guys were saying freshman find out earlier than transfers?

freshmen find out earlier unless (maybe, i’m not sure) the transfer are from CPP’s service area, then MAYBE in that situation the transfer may hear earlier

i see alot of high GPA transfers already accepted (3.8+)

I logged into BroncoDirect today and it says “Referred to Impacted Plan”, not a surprise since Electrical Engineering is impacted at Pomona.

at least there’s some progress linguin101, i’m still on ‘application received’… im seriously worried so ill be calling CPP on monday when they open

Im in the same situation you are visom1! I’m getting so worried!

My son is still waiting.
FTF.
GPA weighted 3.5
SAT 1110/1600
Computer Science.
No Cal
Still at application received. I wonder when we know something??

Economics
Transfer

3.9ish GPA
More than 60 units complete
All prereqs complete

Still at application received as well. Was also rejected by SLO on Friday.

Easd were you accepted?

Sent from my SPH-D700 using CC

@softballkc, all my portal still says is “application received.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a rejection for me, but at the same time I have no idea why since I’ve done well and have the prereqs done.

Still no word. I wonder if that means my son is not getting in except maybe on a waitlist. I wish they would say one way or another.

No change on mine either but Im still hoping

Sent from my SPH-D700 using CC

Maybe they will let everyone know soon. One can only hope. :)

so i called cpp today about why i’m still on ‘application received’, the guy told me

“you’re still in a better spot than many people cause some of them have ‘application incomplete’, we’re just about to send our first acceptance batch later this week so just be patient for awhile”

@visom1 Thanks for the info.
I guess it is just more waiting…

no problem, but i know CPP automatically picks people with high GPA’s so if ours is average or low, we’re gonna wait a long time =[

True. :frowning: I looked at last years thread and some did not find out until summer.

that would be a serious problem, i’ve been accepted to csulb and i must accept/decline their offer by june 1, if cpp doesn’t let me know by around late may, i’d have to go to csulb

My son got into some other CSUs. I think if he does not hear from Pomona by mid April he will go with CSUF because he needs to secure housing and all. Cal Poly would be a better choice but he cannot wait too long and lose out elsewhere.

If your son’s gpa is in the average range i wouldn’t worry too much, most people get their acceptance or rejection by late march/early april.
