Looking for fellow econ majors to start a study group wink

3rd yr econ here

1st yr Pre biz-econ.

1st year pre-econ/international area studies

2nd year pre biz =)~ Might be econ soon though T______T

I like the responses thus far...

btw: 3rd year econ

haven't posted here in a while! 4th year biz-econ here. I used to answer questions here a lot about it.

Hey what econ/management classes is everyone taking? If people here are in the same class maybe we can help each other out.

I'm in Econ 183 and Mgmt 120B this quarter.

I'm taking Econ 2 right now. Management 1A or Econ 11 next quarter.

I hated that 120B test. When I was grading tests for other management classes, I was right next to the person who graded the 120B tests. :( Someone got a perfect on the scantron and a bunch of people got 18-19s.

^ Dude I got killed on that 120B midterm. I kinda feel like I failed, but I'm partly to blame cuz I studied off of the practice test, which was kinda easy. But the actual test was harder and I just wasn't prepared for it. Do you know if the class is curved?

The professor told me that he made the test "easy" so that he wouldn't have to curve. Everyone I talked to did not feel that it was easy. Judging from the person who was grading, it does not feel like there will be a curve because there were some who scored 18+ and a bunch scored 10-16.

question: for the bus. econ major, is the premajor gpa listed in the dpr the actual premajor gpa they base your acceptance off of? And is there anything else taken into consideration for this?

Have any of you ever taken Econ 183? I'm looking for past exams for that class.

Has anyone here taken Econ 160 with Baim or Mgmt 108 with Boss? If so, I'd love to hear reviews and comments, specifically on class difficulty.

hey passerby,

did you end up taking econ 160 with baim or 108 with boss? If you did take one of the classes, how was it?

How is our econ department overall? I’m a 1st year Poli Sci major but am considering double majoring in both.

ok zotan here is the gist of it. the reverse process, aka major in econ and THEN choose to double major in polisci is VERY much doable, in fact, MANY econ majors are doing it. however, coming in as a polisci major, and having gotten used to the bs lower div polisci classes such as polisci 10-50, then you will probably not get used to hou’s Econ 2, and you sure as hell will not get used to mcdevitt’s Econ 11 and 101. sorry if i was too blunt, but just trying to let you know beforehand.
