I applied to Providence EA, haven't visited yet, I hear it's a very nice campus and great city, anyone have info?

My daughter applied EA to Providence College. We are from Oklahoma and visited Providence in the Fall. Beautiful campus, friendly admissions and students. I can pass along any specific questions for my D to answer. Good luck to you. (She also applied EA Notre Dame and Villanova. Was accepted EA to BC yesterday.)

i applied early to providence and just got my acceptance letter in the mail today. i really dont know much about it though i havent visited it yet it was one of my safeties. but i would love to find out more about it.

I got accepted to PC EA yesterday, and I'm ecstatic! It's a beautiful school, great professors, the city itself is wonderful, very friendly environment, and the community service they do is outstanding!

I haven't seen it yet, I was accepted yesterday too. I considered it my safety school but after being accepted I spoke with some friends who are freshmen at the school. They couldn't be happier. They LOVE everything about it. There is so much to do in the city of Providence, restaurants, bars, shopping malls, movie theaters, so many options. They never have to stay in their dorm room and drink (unless they choose to.) The say the campus is beautiful and very safe. The size is perfect, not too small, so you see the same people all the time and too big. I plan to visit next month, can't wait too see it. Sounds awesome

How did you get to talk to Freshmen there?

Oh sorry, I didn't notice that you said they were friends, haha =D

Hey, I applied regular decision. Does anyone know if providence is good with merit-based scholarships? Do you have to fill out special forms for these?

Most private schools aren't very good with scholarships. I didn't qualitfy for the merit-based scholarship, so I couldn't tell you. But I did apply for the Martin Luther King Jr. scholarship and I was denied any money from the school. I don't know if you will get the money, but I would take any opportunity to apply for scholarships if you qualify.
