Anyone here get a good score on the SAT II US History Test...

without taking AP US History?

I did take AP, but I basically learned everything in the week before the test. I recommend you buy the ARCO or REA review guide for AP and READ IT COVER TO COVER. It has everything you need to know, without all the fluff and extra crap they put into textbooks. I got a 790.

Anyone else?

My score isn't good, but it's better than average, and I didn't take AP. I got a 630.

Anyone know if AP is a must?

i gotta 760 and i didn't take apush

^ Your class must've been steller.

I got a 690, no APUSH. I only had a ozzy textbook to work off of. It was very religion-oriented, so instead of studying something like art history that would actually be on the test, I studied missionaries in Hawaii. :-/

how do the tests compare?

You should take the AP it seems. I got an 800.

I got 800 with honors. Just use the REA book and you will be set.
