Anyone here graduated from Walden University?

Just looking for someone here that has graduated from Walden University and what your major? Just looking to know if it was a positive experience or a negative experience. Also do you have trouble looking for work or was it pretty easy to get hired on with a company.

I know Walden University is not well known among employers so was wondering as well if that was a big issue getting a job.

Thank you.

JC

Walden is known by employers, but the degrees are considered on par with a community college.

You’ll have the same luck with Walden as you would any other online university. The only employers that won’t care are smaller organizations, but if you are looking to work at a big company like Boeing, Microsoft, or even Dell and Intel, I have heard they literally throw your resume in the trash. The best way to go is to get your AA from one of these school and transfer out into a good brick and mortar school with online programs, PSU, NEU, or Drexel. Best of Luck…

P.S. Forget about employers look up student reveiws, most have had bad experiences and Walden has been sued multiple times for for financial aid fraud. Look into Capella they’re pretty good.

Your first advice was better. Getting an online degree from a brick and mortar is much better. Also, if you can get an in-state discount then you will actually pay less.

University of North Dakota, Washington State University, University of Alabama, Oregon State University, Troy University and many others have degrees that look exactly the same as the one that came from the classroom. Except and unless you’re in Georgia and going to Oregon State, or Oregon and going to Georgia Southern University. Then it’s pretty obvious.

But still, you’ll be respected more if your went to one of those schools.
