I need some serious help. No joke my grades went from A' and B's to D's and C's this year. Senioritis sucks

I second that request.

Procrastination sucks. But it IS enjoyable.

Award yourself. Tell yourself that if you get this done, you can watch your favorite TV show, or if you get this done, you can listen to 10 minutes of 311, or like if you get this done, you can chat on CC, or if you get this done, you can jerk off... just think of some rewards, and challenge yourself to earn those rewards, and motivate yourself... and learn two exceptionally valuable habits: patience and discipline.

procrastinators unite.....

tomorrow

^ ahahahaha

"if you get this done, you can jerk off"

i love that example ahahahaha

Quit sucking at life

you can't get rid of it.... don't fight it :)

i'm like really simple-minded, so the reward system works for me, especially when i use it with a to-do list. i love crossing stuff off to-do lists, it's so weirdly satisfying.

Think of the task as consisting of several smaller sub-tasks. Decide that you have to complete one sub-task per day --even if it is a ridiculously small task on some days--eventually you will get there even if you only take baby steps-
(Do kids still play that game "Giant Steps"?)

Another method I use is to procrastinate until I have several different tasks that really need doing (suppose it's seven tasks) before a closely approaching deadline--say, one week away. Then every day for the next 6 days I can do the one task that seems most appealing on that day--so it feels like I have a choice.

Get off of CC to get rid of procrastination.

I was SO sure that to-do lists worked.

I loved making the lists. (nice colorful highlighters too)
I loved crossing off the things.

But I hated even looking at the list after 3 days, all behind my schedule. I just got frustrated and ripped it apart. (i felt so much better, and more relaxed afterwards!).

why do today what you can put off indefinitely?

to get into NYU thats why
