College- Tufts, 3.3 GPA, no major yet, just doing my core requirements. 2 sports, one varisty with a letter, VP recruitment for a frat, 2 jobs, and I am a Big Brother (that volunteer thing). Grades are a little low, but I had a tough time adjusting here and I explained that.

Want to go to UNC for many reasons, told them that I wanted to take business classes and tufts doesnt have them (I figure thats a legit reason)

GA Resident, but we do own some property in NC

what were his stats? thanks, I think you made my day just now. I hope you are right slipper. i would give you a big hug if i could (wait, that soudns sketchy)

I'm applying to UNC as a sophomore, although I'll only be six credits away from junior status. I'm applying from the University of Tennessee. In HS I took a lot of tough tough classes, but only one AP (the only one my school offered, hick school, oh well!). I have a 3.79 in college and two letters from two professors. I hope I get in sooooo bad. Good luck with admission!

He had a 1310, a 3.7 in high school, and a 3.4 at Emory-Oxford (not Emory College). UNC loses its in-state quota for transfers, so its much easier to get in oos as a transfer. They have a big transfer class - almost 700 annually. Don't even worry.

Oh - and its seriously an amazing school, I have loved every minute I have spent visiting there.

He had some really good ECs, but no big hooks. A 3.7 at my high school is really strong though so I think they looked at his high school record too. Since you were really strong in high school and a 3.3 at Tufts is very solid, I'd give you a 75% chance...UNC takes boatloads of transfers.

funny, I have heard that from a lot of Tufts students. Apparently the social life is the pits and there's no community, but its not exactly in the city either...the "worst of both worlds."
