I'm an undergraduate student majoring in engineering and I'm considering applying for grad school this autumn. I'm having a hard time choosing the major. Since I wanna find a job in the top consulting companies or being a banker, I think it's necessary to switch to business-related majors. But finance is quite hard to get into these days (Yeah, I prefer a safer choice).
So, anyway, I'm thinking about majoring in engineering management. Is it possible for me to find a job in consulting or banking after that? And what exactly this major is? Although I've read a lot about it on university pages(Duke, Dartmouth, Columbia, Stanford), I really want to hear from an insider.
Thanks a lot!

Honestly, you are better off finding employment as an engineer for a few years, then getting an MBA.

You can do the Engineering Management degree for your Masters BUT, you will still need a some years before you start managing engineers…probably at least 8 years.
