Anyone here NOT want to go to college?

I mean, we've all worked towards the goal of going to college. Although we may not have taken our studies seriously, we all did well enough to get into college. I mean, why else would you been on this site if you didn't want to go to college. But after thinking of how much time I spent in school....it just seems like I want a break. I don't know if I do or don't, but...yeah. It's hard to type what I'm feeling right now. I just wanna be lazy for a while. To work and not have to think about school. You know?

not want to work and go to school does not equal not want to go to college.

skip a day of school. take a day off. hope to god for a snow day tomorrow. you won't die the next day.

I've missed the last 2 weeks of school.

Hmmm Mid-Teen crisis?

Idea. Push through this year and do well, next year apply to your schools of choice perhaps EA/ED. You could be done by November, all you would have to do is make sure your grades stay iight. THAN DEFFER FOR A YEAR.

Bam you have a full year off to do what you want and you dont have to worry about Appps.

I personally might do this and travel. I really want to return to my home country of Haiti (real safe I know :-P) and just do something philanthropic perhaps. Nice break and would allow me to learn more about myself than I have in the past 15 years.

Hmmm just a thought. :D

Oops. Forgot to mention I am a senior with scholarship offers. So yeah...

Ooh. nvmnd assumed you were a junior. I guess you cant really defer by now than.

Listen, I graduated HS a year early, then took the next 3 years off. After 3 years of crappy jobs I put myself through college. College seemed like a breeze compared to working for a living at everything from loading UPS trucks to waitressing to working as a salesclerk and a telephone operator. The first day I walked across campus after my morning class, and realized all I had to do the rest of the day was eat lunch and take one more class, I felt like crying from joy.

If you really feel that way, defer your admission, take a year off and join the working stiffs. You'll appreciate school that much more. Of course, your fellow freshman might seem kind of immature, but that's the price you'll pay.

I just think it would be a nice mental break....which is all I want.

I know what you mean penguin lancer. How about this: Go to the north or south pole or which ever one has penguins and live with them. Become one with the penguin. Then you will be enlightened forever. I am :D

i am the total oppostite. i can not wait untill college because i am so tired of high school. i hate it.
