Our D has been awarded a scholarship where her tuition is paid all four years at any of our three state public universities. Her grades, scores, and ECs are also very high and her college counselor has assured us she will most definitely receive more aid than "just" the tuition award, but the counselor, of course, can't speak for the schools or be specific.

Has anyone here received financial aid from ASU or UA to give us some idea of what a really good student might receive?

Here's one scenario that I'm familiar with at the UA:

UA NMF Award: $12,500
College of Engineering NMF Scholarship: $1,000
College of Engineering Thomas R Brown Distinguished Scholarship : $4,000
Total: $17,500

Thanks, SamK. Does NMF refer to National Medical Fellowship's minority scholarships or to National Merit Finalist? Were all these scholarships award together as a package in one year?

National Merit Finalist. All these scholarships are awarded for the same year, but the Engineering scholarships are awarded by the College of Engineering, so they are not all awarded as "a package". All these scholarships are renewable for three more years as long as GPA requirements are met. The GPA requirement is 3.5 for the Brown and 3.0 for the other two scholarships.
