Anyone here?

This college seems DEAD on here. I am REALLY interested in the Lincoln Center campus and I should get in with my stats and what not.. I was just curious if anyone else on here is interested as well or if there are students that currently are enrolled to the LC campus and can tell me why they love it so much and the benefits.

My major will be journalism..

hi jenlynn, unfortunate there is not much action going on in this forum. I currently attend Rose Hill and I love it. I've only been to Lincoln center once and it seemed to be a really cool place, but that’s about as much as I can get into LC. I know that most students that attend LC go there because they want to be in the city mix or because their major is only given their. If you can, you should come and check it out, and see for yourself.

Hi,
I'm considering applying to Fordham, but I'm really not sure which campus to apply to. I have never been to NYC (but I'm going this February for a few days), and I don't live in a "big" city...it's not small either, though. I'm a little bit intimidated by the prospect of living in such a huge city. I do have some experience with it, and I have gotten used to being very aware of what is going on around me because I spent 3+ months in Guatemala City this year, and it is a pretty dangerous place.
AMILkita, I'd love to hear more about the Rose Hill campus...just generally what it's like, what the differences are as far as academics between it and the LC campus, and anything you can tell me about the community service/campus ministry at RH. Also, can you spend part of your time at one and part at the other (ie. freshman year at RH and sophomore at LC)?
Thanks!!

Hey 70reve, my experience at Rose Hill is that of a commuter student - needless to say, it's a bit different. As far as academics are concerned they are pretty much identical I think, but I've never taken classes at LC. I do know that you can expect to take all of your core classes at the campus where your major dept. is located. You can take classes at both, just keep that fact in mind.
The ambiance at RH is much more laidback (within the campus) vs. LC where its right smack in the middle of the city. Hustle and bustle is the order of the day, and if you're looking to stay active at all times, then LC is the place.

I work in the daytime so I don’t have much time to get involve with school clubs/community, but I hear form friends that it's really cool, and you get to make many friends quickly and easily.

Campus Ministry: not involved at all - sorry!

And another thing, dont under-estimate the cost of living here in NYC. Make sure you're well prepared for the kind of expenses that sometimes drives people to do unwordly things in order to survive. Not trying to scare you, just warned you.

Hope this helps and G.L.
