Anyone hit with transferitis?!

I am. I jus dont care anymore about the getting A's

I got C on one of my midterms and coped with it surprisingly well.

I still want to do well, just don’t want to do work

I seem to be stricken with the dreaded transferitis as of late, wondering if I’ll even gain acceptance to study at a UC in the fall. Indeed, I’m merely going through the motions at this point; auto-pilot engaged.

Lol!! My conditions for admissions was to pass all classes with C or better. GPA also resets once we transfer so I’m just gonna coast through the rest of the semester.

been there done that XD
dont really care any more just waiting on replies :D

I imagine myself failing my class this semester and that just puts me back into focus asap

In the worst way. Monster project due on Monday and I’m just getting started. Plus all my other homework. I have to pass all my classes with a 2.0 this semester as a condition of my acceptance into UCSD, not too worried, but still want to do well.

all day, err day. after fall ended i just started slacking off. i thought you had to maintain a 3.0 for UCSD

I’m pre-med, what is this not caring about grades you speak of?

@lawlking does the GPA really reset once we transfer??

but this is exactly how I feel. Everyday it’s a struggle between sleep or study. Sleep duh.

Your GPA resets when you transfer to a UC, but if you’re planning on doing any Grad school they will usually look at the UC GPA and your GPA from wherever you transferred, any college courses you’ve taken basically.

^^what jdom says is true. Your grade resets once you transfer, but graduate schools will look at your cc grades

I thought I would be happy to get a C in my Spanish two class, but my teacher is so easy and offers so much extra credit as of right now I have a 96 percent in the class. I got a C on the midterm but I’ve done all extra credit available so far and I couldn’t believe it when she showed me my grade lol. my online history class is another story though. I think since it’s an online class my teacher is super strict about everything. I’ve been getting Cs and Bs on the homework.

lawlking said it. i feel the same way so i opted for credit/no credit on all my courses this semester. fortunately, last semester i completed my IGETC and my prerequisites. it has been SO stressful keeping my GPA high. UCB told me that they did not need or expect a letter grade on upper level language classes, so i don’t need the stress and can’t improve my GPA, so it is just a waiting game.

seem to be getting A levels on my tests anyway, even with tranferitis and i am not interested in my homework at all. seriously, i wrote a few papers without reading any of the required materials and still got an A. that never happens when you are trying to get a letter grade. but hey, i am already worried about passing the GRE. so i have transferitis and greitis at the same time. along with admissionitis.

Don’t have that luxury. If I fail something this quarter…not being able to transfer will be the least of my worries. I’ll probably have to pay a fortune for summer school or get held back a year.

@uctransfer2012 My acceptance agreement states that I need to get at least a C in all my classes this semester. Didn’t mean a 2.0 overall :-</p>

Have you guys seen that one thread where the kid was accepted to UCLA but his contract required him to keep a 4.0 GPA for spring? Insane. That’s the only thing Im afraid of.

^ i looked for it, couldn’t find it. did see some dude who was accepted is now taking 12 blink blink classes this semester and worried about his UCLA acceptance getting rescinded because his GPA might drop.
