Is there anyone out there who is in a double in the units and would like to switch into a triple to save money? Switching into a triple room will save you $2171! I'm currently scheduled to move into a Unit 2 Triple and would really like a double. If there is a female freshman out there who wants to save money and switch rooms, please contact me and maybe we can contact the housing office.
Thanks!

Anyone interested?

Good luck finding somebody...the triples in the units are HELL.

@_@ i have a triple also 8D. wait why are they hell ???

Because the triples in the units are really, really cramped - there is practically no storage space for anything; even your desk space is pretty limited. You might have a good experience if you end up with good roommates, but if you end up with bad roommates, then the year will REALLY suck.

._. i guess i will have to use my desk space as storage space.

sorry to hijack this thread but do you claim beds on a whoever gets there first basis? or do you work something out after everyone is there?

I don't know where Stern fits in. Probably right after Clark Kerr

Oh that $ucK$, at first I wanted a triple in unit 3. However, people were always saying how bad the triples were so when I filled out my application I signed up for a double in unit 3. I think $2,171 is worth having one less person in an already small room.

unshunreshun - It's really up to you and your roommate(s). If you're concerned, definitely contact them beforehand to discuss how to arrange this (as one of you will probably arrive before the other(s) and probably will want to start moving into your side/bed without having to wait for others to show up). I contacted my roommate last year when I got his info to discuss it.

Wow. And I thought I was getting a raw deal when I got Bowles!?

There may be larger room in Bowles, but the lack of females made me decide to not sign up for it.

Bowles is amongst the most social of the dorm, despite the lack of females
