Hey Moms.... I'm stuck doing the waiting game in SF on the 6th and 7th and LA on the 8th and 9th....anyone going to be doing the unified game next weekend in California? I don't think my novel will last the whole time my D is in auditions.

She has NCSA on the 6th in S.F.
Juilliard on the 7th in SF.
NYU and CCM in Pasadena first, then LAX on the 8th
and
Carnegie Mellon on the 9th. Busy Busy.

I'll be sooooooo glad when these are done. I keep thinking my D is upset about something... then I realize she is only doing her monologues in her room! Ha ha. :)

Hi Chrissyblu - I answered your "mellow mom" post on the MT thread --- I will be at the SF Hilton with my student on Friday - BU morning session and USC afternoon - PM me and we can coordinate a meeting. My student and your daughter are auditioning for many of the same schools (except NCSA, CCM or CalArts) and I think it would be nice for them. They fly down to LA after SF. I did this last year with my daughter and met parents from CC and it was really fun!

Hi IanJoseph - I think both USC (yesterday) and UCLA (today) went really - the auditors were very receptive. But you just never know! Did you D audition for USC? How did she feel about UCLA?

Give us an update on how it all goes when you feel like it. I just got back from the chicago unifieds and would love to hear how they were in california

Juillard.... an experience. 28 our morning. Only 2 made it. Not my D. But she took it well.

NCSA - awesome. She loved them. They were very complimentary.

Then we headed to LA. NYU - fantastic again. Strong, positive comments from them for my D.

Then CCM same day. They taped her. Guess we will know that one soon. rolling admissions.

Then CMU on Monday. This was my D's best audition. She spent the most time with them. Saw both adjudicators. Even was asked to sing even though she is not MT. Had so much fun with CMU adjudicators. She loved them, but recognizes the long odds.

Today was UCLA. Interesting. They saw both monologues and had her do her first again.
